Sri Lanka, Feb. 17 -- Dr. Mahinda Parakrama Dissanayake officially assumed duties as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) today (17).Sri Lanka travel

The letter of appointment was presented by the Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation, Anura Karunatilleke, during a ceremony attended by Deputy Minister Janitha Ruwan Kodithuwakku and Ministry Secretary W.W.S. Mangala.

A seasoned expert in the maritime and logistics sector, Dr. Dissanayake currently serves as the Presidential Advisor on Maritime, Ports, and Logistics Affairs.

His distinguished career includes previous tenures as Secretary to the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Southern Development, as well as Chairman of both the SLPA and the Jaya Container Terminal.
