Sri Lanka, Nov. 20 -- Train services on the Upcountry Railway Line remain disrupted following a derailment caused by fallen trees and earth mounds.
As a result, trains scheduled to run from Colombo Fort to Badulla today (20) will terminate at Nanu Oya, while trains from Badulla to Colombo will commence from Nanu Oya to Colombo Fort.
Minister of Transport Bimal Ratnayake confirmed that the derailment occurred at a location identified as hazardous.
He added that railway maintenance work on the affected section is expected to be completed by tonight (20).
