Sri Lanka, Nov. 19 -- A meeting was held yesterday (18) between the Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Sunil Handunnetti, and the Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hainan Provincial People's Council, YAN Xijun, in Colombo, to invite Sri Lankan representatives to the China International Consumer Product Expo 2026 to be held in Hainan Province, China.

The discussions focused on the possibility of free trade agreements to enhance trade relations between Hainan Province and Sri Lanka, enhancing the export and import of agricultural products between the two sides, obtaining tariff concessions for seafood products, apparel products, spices and other products exported by Sri Lanka through the Hainan Port, and op...
