Srilanka, April 22 -- Dr. Deepal Perera, a Specialist at the Lady Ridgeway Children's Hospital, said yesterday (21) that due to the increase in flies during these days, children should be protected from diarrhea.
He emphasised that the incidence of diarrhea in children has increased these days and that children are becoming dehydrated due to diarrhea.
He also said that, in addition to diarrhea, the extreme hot weather these days has increased the number of children becoming dehydrated.
He stated that natural fluids should be given to children to prevent dehydration and that it is important to give them natural fluids such as lemons, oranges, pomegranates, tangerines and pure water.
