However, rain stopped play with 27 overs remaining on the second day of the NSL four-day cricket match at the Galle International Cricket Stadium yesterday.

Dambulla faced an early setback at 57 for 4, but Dhananjaya and Sonal Dinusha (39 off 63 balls, 4 fours, 1 six) built a 107-run stand for the fifth wicket to steady the innings.
