Sri Lanka, Jan. 26 -- Skipper Kamindu Mendis scored a fine knock of 115 in 164 balls with 15 fours while opener Leo Fransisco hit 87 in 182 balls with 11 fours as Dambulla secured a strong position, reaching 287 for 3 wickets at the close of the first day against Colombo in their National Super League (NSL) four day cricket fixture played at Pallekele International cricket stadium yesterday.
