Sri Lanka, July 29 -- Buddhist dhamma schools which are closed due to the coronavirus outbreak will be re-open from August 16.

The Buddhist Affairs Department said that Dhamma schools will re-open under two stages. Grades 6 to 13 will reopen on August 16 and Grade 1 to 5 will reopen on August 23. The Department urges the authorities of Dhamma schools to follow health instructions and precautionary measures against the coronavirus pandemic.

Academic activities for students of Grade 11, 12 and 13 at government schools commenced July 27 Monday.

Students of other grades have to attend schools from August 10.
