Sri Lanka, April 17 -- Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) visited the Sri Dalada Maligawa on April 16 to inspect the preparations for the upcoming special exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic, scheduled to be held from April 18 to 27.

The exposition, initiated under the directive of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, will allow public viewing of the Sacred Tooth Relic from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on April 18. From April 19 to 27, it will be open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

During his visit, the Defence Secretary expressed his gratitude to the Mahanayake Theros for offering this rare spiritual opportunity to the Buddhist community, noting its significance as the first such event in 16 years. He acknowled...
