Sri Lanka, Nov. 3 -- Cats and dogs tend to get run over by vehicles because such animals do not learn from experience nor can they pass lessons to their offspring. Human beings are a different species. They learn and teach their children. Yet this natural order seems absent among some in our fishing community. The habit of drinking unidentified liquids found at sea continues to claim lives.

Two others were hospitalized in serious condition after consuming the same substance. The cause of death remains under examination. The survivors were taken to Puttalam Base Hospital.
