Sri Lanka, Sept. 3 -- SJB Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara yesterday (2) claimed that the current SLFP leadership has no legal authority to preside over the Sri Lanka Freedom Party's (SLFP) 74th anniversary celebration, describing it as an "illegal act."

Addressing the media, he alleged that Nimal Siripala de Silva did not assume the SLFP chairmanship through a legitimate process, while Duminda Dissanayake was also not a legitimate party member.
