Sri lanka, July 21 -- Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) National Organizer MP Tissa Attanayake said that the party had no intention of appointing MP Dayasiri Jayasekara as a Deputy Leader.
Speaking to the media in Kandy yesterday (20), Attanayake clarified that no such request had been made by Jayasekara or his representatives and that the party had not held any internal discussions regarding such an appointment.
"Dayasiri contested the last General Election under the SJB banner, but he has not obtained party membership to date. One must first be a member of the party to be appointed as a deputy leader.
