Sri Lanka, Dec. 9 -- According to the latest report from the Disaster Management Center, Cyclone Ditwah has caused extensive damage across Sri Lanka, completely destroying 5,325 houses nationwide.
The Kandy district reported the highest number of fully destroyed houses at 1,815, followed by Nuwara Eliya with 767 homes. Other severely affected districts include Kurunegala (476), Puttalam (415), Badulla (404), and Kegalle (300).
In addition to fully destroyed homes, a significant number of houses were partially damaged.
