Sri Lanka, Nov. 10 -- Sri Lanka Customs recorded revenue exceeding Rs.27.7 Bn (around US$ 92.3 million) on November 6, marking the highest single-day collection in the history of any State revenue agency in the country, Customs Director and Media Spokesperson Chandana Punchihewa said on Sunday.
He said the department is now on track to surpass its annual revenue target of Rs.2.11 trillion (Around US$ 7.05 billion) for 2025 within the next three days. As of Saturday (November 8), Customs had already collected Rs.2.06 trillion (around US$ 6.88 billion), he said.
