Srilanka, June 25 -- The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has reassured the public that Sri Lanka will not face a fuel shortage, even if the Strait of Hormuz is affected by ongoing regional conflicts.
Responding to recent reports, CPC Chairman D.J. Rajakaruna confirmed that fuel orders for the next two months have already been secured and there is no imminent risk to the country's fuel supply.
"We have confirmed fuel orders for the next two months. There's no issue in supply during that period. Most of our Octane 92 petrol comes from Malaysia, Singapore, and India-not conflict zones. Only one shipment came from Oman," Rajakaruna said.
