Sri Lanka, Feb. 13 -- The Colombo High Court has fixed the trial for the illicit assets case against former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella and his family members for April 27.

The case, filed by the Bribery Commission, indicts the former Minister, his wife, three daughters, and son-in-law on charges of illegally acquiring assets valued at over Rs. 97 million.

The charges allege that the accused amassed these assets during Rambukwella's tenure as a public servant, which could not be justified by their declared income.

All six accused have previously been slapped with overseas travel bans by the court as proceedings continue.
