Sri Lanka, Jan. 30 -- The Court of Appeal has rescheduled the delivery of its order regarding a writ petition filed by Ven. Balangoda Kassapa Thero and Ven. Kalyanawansa Tissa Thero of Trincomalee.

The petition seeks to quash a previous order to remand the two monks in connection with an incident involving a Buddha statue in Trincomalee.

The order was originally set to be pronounced today (30) by a two-judge bench comprising the President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya, and Justice Priyantha Fernando.

However, Justice Abeysuriya announced that the final order was not yet ready for delivery.

The court has now scheduled the pronouncement for February 3.
