Srilanka, May 14 -- The Colombo High Court today (14) ordered the Tangalle Judicial Medical Officer-or a designated medical officer-to examine the health condition of Nandun Chinthaka Wickramaratne, alias Harak Kata, a suspected drug trafficker currently held at the Tangalle Special Prison, and submit a report to the court.
The case was taken up before Colombo High Court Judge Sujeewa Nissanka.
While appearing before the court via video from the prison, the defendant claimed he has been suffering from several medical conditions, including hemorrhoids, and alleged he has not been receiving proper treatment.
