Srilanka, March 17 -- The Court of Appeal is set to deliver its order today (17) on whether to issue an interim injunction suspending the Matara Magistrate's Court directive to arrest Deshabandu Tennakoon in connection with a shooting incident at a hotel in Weligama.
The ruling follows the court's review of arguments presented by both the petitioner and the respondent regarding Tennakoon's writ petition, which seeks to nullify the Magistrate's Court order issued on February 27.
A bench comprising Acting President of the Court of Appeal, Mohamed Lafar Tahir, and Judge Sarath Dissanayake concluded the hearing on March 12.
