Srilanka, April 10 -- The Court of Appeal today (10) ordered the reacceptance of approximately 35 rejected nomination papers, which had been dismissed due to issues related to birth certificates, certification by Justices of the Peace, and the oath taken under the 7th Schedule of the Constitution.
The ruling was delivered by a bench comprising Acting President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Mohamed Lafar Tahir, and Justice Priyantha Fernando, following a series of petitions filed by political parties and independent groups challenging the rejection of their nominations.
