Srilanka, Feb. 20 -- The Court of Appeal has extended the interim injunction preventing the election of the Basnayake Nilame of the Sabaragamuwa Maha Saman Devalaya, initially scheduled for February 11, until May 15. The decision was made during a hearing on February 20, before a bench comprising Acting Chairman Justice Mohamed Lafar Tahir and Justice K. M. S. Dissanayake.

The bench also directed that any objections to the petition be filed by March 14, with the final date for filing objections set for March 26.
