Srilanka, Feb. 3 -- The Court of Appeal today (03) issued an interim injunction suspending the implementation of the Commissioner of Buddhist Affairs' decision to appoint Mr. S. V. Chandrasinghe as the temporary caretaker of the Sabaragamuwa Maha Saman Devalaya.

Additionally, the court barred Chandrasinghe from voting in the upcoming election to select the Nilame.

These rulings were issued after considering a petition filed by former Basnayake Nilame Migara Jayasundara, along with Basnayake Nilame Association Chairman Hemantha Bandara Herath and Secretary Priyantha Bandara Jayasundara.
