Sri Lanka, July 15 -- The Colombo Magistrate's Court today (15 July) granted bail to Dr. Maheshi Wijeratne, a specialist attached to the Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital, who was previously arrested and remanded over allegations of corruption.

She is accused of selling surgical equipment to patients at inflated prices in violation of medical and ethical standards.

The case has drawn significant public attention, and further legal proceedings are expected as investigations continue.
