Sri Lanka, June 6 -- A married couple have died after being hit by a train travelling from Colombo Fort to Aluthgama near Dehiwala Railway Station on Wednesday evening.
According to reports, the couple had been walking along the railway tracks when the incident took place. The victims, aged 58 and 59, were residents of the Badulupitiya area in Badulla. Their bodies have been placed in the Kalubowila Hospital morgue pending a post-mortem examination. The Dehiwala Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
