Sri Lanka, Aug. 8 -- Export Development Board (EDB) Chairman Mangala Wijesinghe announced that Sri Lanka's export revenue for the first half of 2025 amounted to USD 8.4 billion, marking an increase of 7% compared to the same period last year.
Speaking at a special press briefing held at the Department of Government Information yesterday (7), Wijesinghe emphasised the importance of maintaining this momentum to achieve the Government's ambitious export target of USD 18 billion for the year.
"Our goal for the first six months was to achieve a 7% growth rate, and for the third and fourth quarters, we aim for 8% to 10%," he stated.
