Sri Lanka, Aug. 8 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake yesterday stated that Sri Lanka's economy which had collapsed under previous rulers has made significant strides in a short span under the new Government with the country recording the highest export revenue in history in the first six months of this year.

Participating in the adjournment debate on the current economic situation of the country in Parliament yesterday, the President said the Government was focusing on diversifying the export market so as not to depend on a few countries but to expand to other international markets with high potential.
