Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- The strike launched by luxury and general service private bus operators on the Horana-Colombo (Route 120) remains in effect for a second day.
The trade action began at 10:00 AM yesterday in protest against the issuance of a new transport permit for a bus service entering the route via the Kahathuduwa interchange.
While the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) deployed additional buses to bridge the gap, commuters traveling to Colombo for work this morning faced significant delays and overcrowding.
