Sri Lanka, Sept. 18 -- The "Community Productivity Model Village Project", launched as another community development programme implemented by the National Productivity Secretariat, is scheduled to be implemented from 2025 to 2027.

This programme, which received Cabinet approval on July 01, will be implemented by selecting one village each to cover every Divisional Secretariat division of the island. It is expected to empower those villages with productivity through the six main components of education, economy, health and sanitation, household management and social well-being, cultural and spiritual development and environmental conservation through the concepts of community productivity.
