Srilanka, April 7 -- The S&P SL20 index of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) recorded a sharp decline of over 5.30% today (April 7), triggering a temporary halt in trading.
Trading was suspended for 16 minutes at 9:51 AM due to the significant drop.
At the time of suspension, the All Share Price Index (ASPI) had dropped by 639.01 points, settling at 14,734.34 points, while the S&P SL20 index had fallen by 240.45 points, reaching 4,292.90 points.
