Sri Lanka, Nov. 22 -- A slow train traveling from Matara to Maradana derailed yesterday at 2:05 p.m. between Kamburugamuwa and Weligama railway stations.

Railway staff attempted to re-arrange the train, but it derailed a second time at the same location.

Authorities are currently working to safely re-arrange the train. Meanwhile, train services on the coastal route have been limited, operating only between Colombo and Weligama until the situation is resolved.
