Sri Lanka, March 31 -- Over 50 clubs affiliated to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have made a written request to Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa not to appoint an Interim Committee but to continue with the present administration using powers vested in him, even though their tenure concluded on February 20 this year.

They made this plea to the Sports Minister after the Attorney General's office gave their verdict that as per SLC Constitution the present administration is unable to continue and should cease all activities of the SLC, and to appoint an Interim Committee to oversee the administration until the Annual General Meeting is held on May 20 this year.
