Sri Lanka, Nov. 27 -- The Cinewave Short Film Festival, organized by the National Youth Services Council (NYSC), is set to kick off tomorrow (28) at 4:30 pm at the Tharangani Hall of the National Film Corporation.

A total of 32 films selected for the final round will be screened on the 28 and 29, with free admission for all attendees.

The inaugural event will be held under the patronage of Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Sunil Kumara Gamage, and Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, Dinindu Saman Hennayake.

Chairman and Director General of the NYSC Supun Wijeratne will also participate in the opening ceremony.

The awards ceremony recognizing the winning films is scheduled for November 30 at the Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel, Colombo.
