Sri Lanka, March 25 -- Health Secretary Dr. Palitha Mahipala recently participated in an inspection tour of Samanturai Primary Hospital which is one of 13 hospitals selected to be developed under a Chinese government funded project.

The Health Secretary said that the construction activities of the three-storied building of the hospital, to be completed at the cost of Rs. 850 million, is currently in the final stage and it would be handed over to the public within the next two months.

Within this three-storied building complex, there are wards, maternity units, drug stores, clinics, non-communicable disease units, blood transfusion centres, laboratories, operating theatres and emergency units. Arrangements have also been made to provide ...
