Sri Lanka, Nov. 4 -- The Sri Lanka-China Society distributed 53 scholarships donated by the Amity Foundation in China to needy students of Mihindu Mawatha Sinhala Vidyalaya, Colombo 12, recently, the Society's President Jinith de Silva said.

Each student received a cash donation of Rs. 24,900, school essentials' pack worth Rs. 4,150, and household items worth Rs. 4,150.

China Cultural Centre's Director Ni Lishang was the chief guest at the event.

The Sri Lanka-China Society stated that it highly appreciates the Amity Foundation for their continued assistance to needy students in Sri Lanka.
