Sri Lanka, Sept. 26 -- In line with the government's digital governance policy, many government institutions are currently carrying out official duties using information technology. Accordingly, the 'GovPay' payment facility was introduced this year as a step towards the digitalization of public services.

This facility, introduced by the new government to streamline and modernize transactions conducted through government institutions so that secure and efficient digital transactions can be carried out seamlessly, is being implemented by the Central Environmental Authority (CEA) as the first institution under the Ministry of Environment, starting today.
