Sri Lanka, April 11 -- The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the development of the Sahasdanavi Power Plant, marking a major step toward strengthening Sri Lanka's energy infrastructure.
The 350 MW combined cycle power plant will be constructed, owned, and operated by Sahasdanavi Company Limited. Ownership of the plant will be transferred to the CEB after 25 years, in line with the agreement.
Approved by the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka, the project is expected to enhance the reliability and affordability of electricity for both residential and commercial users.
