Sri Lanka, Dec. 4 -- Ceylon Electricity Board General Manager M.R. Ranatunga yesterday said that the power disruption experienced in the country yesterday is suspected to be an act of sabotage.

He added that the CEB engineers are deliberately dragging the restorations activities

The day to day life of the people in all parts of the country was disrupted as power failure reports across the country at around 11.30 a.m. yesterday.

Ranatunga said power supply was restored to key institutions including the Colombo National Hospital within a short period.

The power supply in the Anuradhapura - Habarana, Lakshapana - Athurugiriya, Kotmale - Biyagama transmission lines has been restored within two hours and arrangements were made yesterday ev...
