Sri Lanka, April 3 -- Environment State Minister Janaka Wakkumbura told Parliament yesterday that an extensive investigation will be conducted to ascertain whether the permission has been obtained from the relevant authorities in Sri Lanka to transport hazardous cargo on board by the container ship that collided with the Baltimore's Francis Scott Key Bridge in America while on its way to Sri Lanka.

The State Minister said that no notification had been given to the Central Environment Authority regarding the arrival of this ship.
