Sri Lanka, Feb. 8 -- The Fire Department has now commenced preliminary investigations into the two fires that broke out at the 'Krrish' building in Colombo.

They have uncovered several factors that could have caused the 'Krrish' building to catch fire.

Accordingly, the Department stated that the main cause of the fire was the unsafe cutting of iron parts of the building using a gas cutter.

Accordingly, the Fire Department has instructed the relevant departments not to cut iron using a gas cutter again.

An expert report has also been called in this regard.

The 35th floor of the 'Krrish' building caught fire the day before yesterday (06), and then a fire broke out on the 24th floor yesterday (07).
