Sri Lanka, Nov. 3 -- The governing body of the ancient Seetha Amman Temple in Haggala, Nuwara Eliya has lodged a complaint with the Nuwara Eliya Police alleging that six tills located in several places of the temple to collect cash offerings from devotees were broken into on Saturday night and the money has been stolen.

The complaint filed with the Police states that there were six tills inside the temple, and that three empty tills were found thrown into a canal flowing near the temple.
