Sri Lanka, Jan. 17 -- A corruption case filed against Road and Highways, Ports and Shipping Minister Johnston Fernando and two others for allegedly causing an unlawful loss of Rs. 40 million to the Government by employing 153 employees of the Cooperative Wholesale Establishment (CWE) for election work from 2010 to 2014, were today postponed by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayarathne.Attorney-at-Law Niroshan Siriwardena appearing on behalf of Minister Johnston Fernando informed the court that the Colombo High Court has issued an Interim Order preventing the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court from hearing this corruption case till January 20, 2020.Accordingly, the cases against Minister Johnston Fernando, former CWE (Lak Sathosa) Chairman E...
