Sri Lanka, Sept. 10 -- The Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court yesterday terminated proceedings against former minister Keheliya Rambukwella and his family in a money laundering case.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanka Bodaragama ordered the case to be closed after officials from the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) informed the Court that a charge sheet had been filed against the defendants in the Colombo High Court.
The Magistrate instructed the defendants to appear before the High Court on the designated date.
CIABOC officers also told the Court that, in addition to the charges filed, several other related investigations are underway.
