Sri Lanka, May 18 -- The world's oil market has faced a huge crisis due to the decrease in the demand for oil following the lockdown of countries. However this burden will be reduced once the countries loosen their lockdown policies, Senior Advisor on Economic Affairs to the Prime Minister, Former Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), Ajith Nivard Cabraal, told a TV talk show on Friday.

He said that the lockdown of countries such as Italy, South Korea and Japan where majority of the Sri Lankans work bringing down a considerable amount of foreign revenue each year is directly affected. If this amount is not received then it will be a huge burden on the economy.
