Srilanka, June 26 -- The Colombo High Court today (June 26) ordered that the case against former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal and four others be postponed to October 10.

The defendants are accused of causing a financial loss exceeding Rs. 1.8 billion to the Sri Lankan government by investing public funds in Greek government bonds in 2012.

During proceedings, it was revealed that three revision petitions had been filed by the defense before the Court of Appeal, challenging the rejection of preliminary objections in the case. These petitions are scheduled to be heard on September 19.

Given this timeline, the High Court judge noted it would be appropriate to take up the case after the appellate court's decision. He further ...
