Srilanka, March 26 -- The National Anti-Corruption Action Plan 2025-2029 has received Cabinet approval, reinforcing the government's commitment to eradicating bribery and corruption.

The Anti-Corruption Act No. 9 of 2023 expanded the role of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) beyond investigations and prosecutions to include policy implementation and regulation aimed at eliminating corruption nationwide.

Aligned with the government's "Clean Sri Lanka" initiative, the new action plan builds on the 2019-2023 National Anti-Corruption Plan and has been developed in consultation with local and international stakeholders.
