Srilanka, March 27 -- The Cabinet has approved a proposal presented by the President, to implement the National Anti-Corruption Action Plan for the period 2025 to 2029. This decision was announced by Cabinet Spokesperson, Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, who emphasized the importance of this initiative in combating bribery and corruption across all sectors.

Under the Anti-Corruption Act No. 9 of 2023, the role of the Bribery and Corruption Investigation Commission has been significantly expanded.
