Srilanka, March 18 -- The Cabinet has approved the provision of fertilizer financial subsidies to farmers cultivating paddy lands for the 2025 Yala season.

The decision was made following a proposal submitted by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation. Under this initiative, the government will extend financial support to farmers cultivating both paddy and other field crops in paddy lands during the upcoming season.
