Srilanka, April 30 -- Government-operated bus services have resumed along Palaly Road up to Kankesanthurai after 35 years. The suspension, which began in 1990 due to the establishment of the Palaly High-Security Zone, had effectively cut off public transport access along this vital Northern route.

Following the full reopening of Palaly Road under specific conditions on April 10, the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) officially relaunched bus services on Tuesday (29), marking a significant milestone for the region.
