Srilanka, Feb. 24 -- In a significant development following the fatal bus accident in Thoraya, Kurunegala-which claimed four lives and injured 24-Additional Magistrate Nuwan Kaushalya has granted bail to the two bus drivers involved.

Each driver was released on bail of Rs. 200,000, with a court date set for March 20.

Additionally, the Magistrate ordered the Motor Vehicles Commissioner to suspend their driving licenses until further notice.

The drivers, identified as Aralaganwila Jayamuthugama Nissanka Sandaruwan and Melsiripura G. Ranil Sandeepa, now await further legal proceedings.
