Srilanka, March 20 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake stated that this year's Budget is data-driven, scientifically implemented, and strategically planned. The President made these remarks during a discussion held yesterday (19) at the Presidential Secretariat with representatives of the Association of Medical Specialists (AMS).
During the discussion, the President highlighted that, in history, various governments have obtained loans without considering their long-term economic impact upon repayment. President Dissanayake asserted that his Administration will refrain from engaging in unstructured borrowing or unsystematic Economic activities, while reaffirming that his Government's highest priority is ensuring Economic sustainability.
