Sri Lanka, Nov. 4 -- The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) arrested two former senior State officials, a former General Manager of Sri Lanka Railways and a former Director of the State Engineering Corporation, on corruption charges yesterday (03).

According to CIABOC, Sumathipala Mahanama Abeywickrama, the former General Manager of Sri Lanka Railways, was taken into custody at 9:15 am, while Sarathchandra Gunaratna Jayathilaka, the former Director of the State Engineering Corporation, was arrested at 10:15 am.
